123domain.eu: Encrypted e-mail communication

123domain.eu has always encrypted all connections to the website (https://www.123domain.eu) and the customer interface (https://my.123domain.eu) using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to protect its customers' data.

Since October 1, 2014, this has also been the case for all e-mail connections, so that communication between your e-mail program and the mail server cannot be intercepted when receiving and sending e-mails via mail.123domain.eu. Following the recommendations of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and heise.de 123domain.eu also uses Perfect Forward Secrecy and is not susceptible to Shellshock and Heartbleed attacks.

All customers of 123domain.eu can use the general e-mail server with the access data known to them instead of the previously personalized e-mail servers, such as mail.ingenit.com or mail.my-domain.de, and from now on send them encrypted. The e-mail servers of 123domain.eu also try to forward encrypted e-mails to the recipient, depending on the configuration of the receiving server. However, more and more servers allow your customers to receive encrypted e-mails.

At mail.123domain.eu you can also access the 123domain.eu webmailer, which you can use to access your e-mails securely and conveniently while on the move, from Internet kiosks or from the business centres of hotels.
