Estonia changes the registration conditions for.ee

The registry in Estonia "Eesti Interneti SA" changes the current registration conditions for .ee and allows domains with an administrative contact outside Estonia to be registered from December 1, 2015.

Estonia is the smallest country in the Baltic States in terms of area and population, with over 83,000 domains registered. Until now, interested parties have had to provide an administrative contact who can prove that they are resident in Estonia. 123domain.eu offers a trustee service to make a registration under the top-level domain .ee possible for every interested party.

This restriction will now be changed from December. It is still necessary to enter an administrative contact for the registration of a domain under.ee, but this can now also be registered outside Estonia. With these changes Estonia adapts its conditions to its Baltic neighbours Latvia and Lithuania. People and organisations can also register domains there without local requirements.
