The SWITCH registry is separating from direct customer business for .ch

The Swiss registry SWITCH will cease direct customer business at the end of the year and arrange for the gradual transfer of customer support to registrars such as 123domain.eu.

With this step, SWITCH continues to ensure a stable and secure Internet in Switzerland and focuses on registry tasks and the pure operation of .ch domains. SWITCH welcomes the separation of sovereign and regulatory tasks on the one hand and customer business on the other. The basis is the Ordinance on Internet Domains, which was developed jointly with the Federal Office of Communications and has already been approved by the Federal Council of Switzerland.

According to SWITCH, more than 400,000 customers with over 1 million domains, which are still managed directly by SWITCH, are affected. These customers will now be informed about the changes in direct letters at regular intervals and asked to transfer the domains to your desired registrar like 123domain.eu. The domains concerned can be transferred either directly or indirectly via the respective SWITCH customer account using an AuthCode.

123domain.eu has been a recognised partner and accredited registrar at SWITCH for over 5 years. We are happy to help you to transfer your domains fail-safe and to ensure your internet presence. Please contact the 123domain.eu team by e-mail at info@123domain.eu or directly by phone at +49 231 58698-123.
